UPSC CSE 2025: 38 Students from Jamia Millia Islamia’s RCA Qualify, 15 Women Among Achievers; 4 in Top 50

New Delhi: In a major academic achievement, 38 candidates from the Residential Coaching Academy (RCA) of the Centre for Coaching and Career Planning at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) have successfully cleared the prestigious UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025. Among them, four candidates secured positions within the top 50 ranks, with impressive All India Ranks 7, 14, 24, and 29.

The results of the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025 were declared on March 6, with 958 candidates recommended for appointment to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and other Central Services.

Four RCA Candidates in Top 50

The outstanding performance of RCA students was highlighted by four candidates securing top ranks in the examination. Their achievement underscores the academy’s growing reputation as one of the country’s most successful coaching institutions for civil services aspirants.

In the overall national ranking, Anuj Agnihotri secured All India Rank 1, followed by Rajeshwari Suve M at AIR 2and Akanksha Dhull at AIR 3.

Strong Representation of Women Candidates

A significant highlight of the result is the selection of 15 women candidates from RCA, reflecting the institution’s commitment to promoting gender equity and inclusivity in India’s civil services.

The strong performance of women candidates reinforces the role of Jamia Millia Islamia in nurturing talented aspirants from diverse social and educational backgrounds.

University Leadership Congratulates Successful Candidates

The Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia, Mazhar Asif, congratulated the successful candidates and praised the dedication of the academy’s faculty and administrative staff.

He said the remarkable achievement reflects the university’s culture of hard work and perseverance.

“On behalf of the entire JMI fraternity, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all our brilliant candidates who have done us proud. The extraordinary success of our RCA-trained students showcases JMI’s culture of hard work, perseverance and determination,” he said.

The university’s Registrar, Md. Mahtab Alam Rizvi, also described the result as a proud moment for the institution.

He noted that the large number of successful candidates, particularly women, is an encouraging sign for the future of civil services aspirants training at the academy.

Leadership of RCA Credited for Success

The success has also been attributed to the leadership and academic initiatives implemented by Samina Bano, Professor In-Charge of RCA.

She expressed happiness over the results and credited the success to the hard work of students along with the support of the university administration.

According to her, several academic and mentorship initiatives introduced over the past year have strengthened the academy’s training framework.

Continued Success Story of RCA

Jamia’s Residential Coaching Academy has consistently produced successful civil services candidates.

In the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024, a total of 32 candidates from RCA were selected out of the 78 students who appeared for the personality test stage. Among those selected candidates, 12 were women, further reflecting the academy’s focus on inclusive education and mentorship.

The latest success in UPSC CSE 2025 continues this upward trajectory, reinforcing RCA’s reputation as a major contributor to India’s administrative services.
