Bina, Madhya Pradesh – In a powerful expression of its corporate social responsibility, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has commenced construction of new toilet blocks across three key government-run institutions in Bina. The bhoomipujan was held for the facilities at Government Higher Secondary School, Government Higher Secondary Girls Hostel, and Government Middle School Girls Hostel.
This development will directly benefit over 1,300 students, significantly enhancing sanitation infrastructure, particularly for young girls.
Enabling Dignity and School Attendance
Access to clean, safe, and functional sanitation is a basic necessity. For students—especially adolescent girls—it can directly impact their health, attendance, and overall confidence in pursuing education.
By prioritizing hygiene in educational institutions, BPCL is working to eliminate barriers that prevent consistent school attendance. The move addresses an often-overlooked but critical aspect of inclusive development—providing dignity and security to students.

Part of BPCL’s Swachhata Pakhwada Commitment
This initiative is being carried out under BPCL’s ongoing Swachhata Pakhwada 2025, a fortnightly campaign that aligns with the Government of India’s national cleanliness drive.
Launched by Director (HR) Shri K.S. Shetty, the bhoomipujan not only marks the physical beginning of construction but also reflects a larger organizational vision to foster sustainable development. During the inauguration, Shri Shetty reiterated the growing importance of natural gas and clean infrastructure in India’s energy and social progress.
While the focus here is on sanitation, it sits within BPCL’s larger CSR ethos—creating community assets, improving quality of life, and supporting public infrastructure that outlasts the campaign window.

Building Hygiene Infrastructure for the Future
BPCL’s consistent efforts to invest in school hygiene infrastructure also echo its broader commitment to the Swachh Bharat Mission. From constructing toilet blocks to installing water filtration units, sanitary pad vending machines, and handwashing stations, BPCL has been creating safe learning environments that promote both education and health.
With the Bina initiative, BPCL not only raises its own CSR benchmarks but also reaffirms its dedication to empowering the next generation through inclusive and impactful development projects.
