Balodabazar, Chhattisgarh: In a significant step towards improving rural healthcare infrastructure, REC Limited, a Maharatna CPSE under the Ministry of Power, has approved ₹2.34 crore for a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative aimed at enhancing medical services in Balodabazar district, Chhattisgarh.
The funds will be used to equip six Community Health Centres (CHCs) and one District Hospital with essential medical equipment. This effort is expected to bolster primary and secondary healthcare delivery in the region.
MoA Signed to Launch the Project
On July 8, 2025, a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed between:
- Mr Rajesh Awasthi, Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO), Balodabazar
- Mr Satyabhan Sahoo, Chief Project Manager, REC Regional Office, Raipur
The project will be implemented by the District Health Society, Balodabazar, ensuring alignment with local healthcare needs and public health priorities.

Targeted Healthcare Support in Underserved Regions

- Improve diagnosis and treatment capacity at CHCs
