In a concerted effort to bolster the satisfaction levels of its personnel, the Border Security Force (BSF) has introduced several key decisions. These include providing individuals with five choices for posting, facilitating on-request postings, and streamlining the booking process for air tickets during leave periods. The move comes in response to concerning data from the Ministry of Home Affairs, revealing over 46,000 early retirements among personnel from six Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) in the last five years, with the BSF accounting for the majority.
Under the new guidelines approved by the BSF Director-General, their personnel will have the opportunity to express their preferences for postings during the Annual Turnover in Personnel and Training (P&T). Additionally, a memorandum of understanding has been signed with a Delhi-based travel company to simplify the air ticket booking process, offering concessional fixed fares, free seat selection, rescheduling, and waiving of convenience fees for personnel and their dependents. The BSF aims to expedite grievance redressal processes, ensuring prompt resolution of issues through designated channels.
