New Delhi: A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan has lodged a serious complaint against IPS officer Shankar Chaudhary of the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) cadre, accusing him of harassment, property damage, and threats to his family residing in Delhi.
Constable/GD Neeraj Kumar, currently undergoing training at the 150th battalion while posted with the 66th battalion in Alamganj, Dhubri (Assam), has formally submitted his grievances to the Director General of BSF over incidents involving the IPS officer, who is a neighbor in RK Puram, Delhi.
Allegations of Tree Cutting and Car Damage
According to Neeraj Kumar’s complaint, IPS officer Shankar Chaudhary, along with his associates, cut down a green tree on the night of June 19 and deliberately threw the fallen branches onto the jawan’s car, causing damage.
When Neeraj Kumar’s wife attempted to raise the matter with Chaudhary, she was allegedly threatened and sent away by the officer’s companions. The complaint states the family was warned with ominous words implying that they could “pay the price” if they persisted in speaking up.

Claims of Harassment and Property Encroachment
Further accusations include the unlawful removal of an iron security gate installed by the jawan for his family’s safety, which was reportedly taken by the IPS officer to his residence. There is also an allegation that Chaudhary had previously occupied the jawan’s garage, which was returned only after Neeraj Kumar’s wife intervened.
The jawan claims the IPS officer has been encroaching on adjacent properties and, in a retaliatory move after Neeraj Kumar reported the encroachment to police, arranged for the jawan’s car to be towed away via the traffic police.
Family Under Threat
Neeraj Kumar emphasizes that his wife and two minor children live alone in the CPWD Quarter in RK Puram. He expressed grave concerns for their safety, stating the family is in a state of shock due to continuous threats and harassment from the IPS officer and his associates.
The jawan has urged the BSF Director General to take immediate and appropriate action against IPS Shankar Chaudhary and his accomplices. He has also requested protection for his family’s life and property.
