Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government on Friday announced the transfer and new appointments of nine Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across various departments as part of a routine administrative reshuffle. The move aims to bring renewed focus and efficiency to key public service sectors.
Key Appointments:
Kalaiarasi has been posted as Commissioner, Department of Welfare for Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes, and Minorities.
Sampath Kumar takes over as Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Khadi and Village Industries Board, reinforcing efforts in rural employment and traditional industries.
Maheswari has been appointed Director, Commissionerate of Urban Land Ceiling and Urban Land Tax, tasked with overseeing key urban land policy implementation.
John Louis will now serve as Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation, an important role in managing the state’s food security and public distribution systems.
Saravana Vel Raj has been posted as Special Secretary to Government, Department of Welfare for Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes, and Minorities.
Mohan will lead as Director, Department of Geology and Mining, responsible for mineral regulation and sustainable resource extraction.
Sivarasu has been appointed Director, Co-operation, Food and Consumer Protection Department, a key department in regulating consumer rights and cooperative institutions.
Rajendra Ratnoo has been entrusted with additional charge as Chairman and Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Urban Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (TUFIDCO).
Catherine Saranya will take over as Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO), pivotal to the state’s industrial growth and investment promotion.
