The State Government of Karnataka issued official order regarding the formation of task force for the implementation of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in the schools of the state. Retired IAS officer Mr. Madan Gopal has been given the responsibility to head the 21 member task force.
Earlier in his tenure, he has served as Commissioner of Public Instruction and he also served as Education Secretary, on the implementation of National Education Policy 2020 in school education. The task force has been given the responsibility to prepare and finalize the draft implementation framework for NEP in schools, in consultation with stakeholders. The task force has experts from the field of education, serving and former teachers and ex-officio members.
