1990 batch IPS officer and DGP of Telangana, Mr. Anjani Kumar and 1992 batch IAS officer and Principal Secretary, Mr. Jayesh Ranjan launched India’s first law enforcement ‘Chief Information Security Officers’ (CISO) Council at the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate on 7 October. The state police, with the support of industry and academia, launched the CISO council, in the presence of secretary for Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) Ramesh Kaza.
The establishment of CISO Council by Telangana Police represents a crucial step forward in addressing cybersecurity challenges. This development underscores the ever-evolving landscape of cyber threats and their significant financial consequences. It emphasizes the need for close cooperation among law enforcement agencies, the business sector, and educational institutions to tackle these challenges effectively.
The CISO council will partner with public and private institutions to tackle cyber security threat in real time.
