IRS Nikhil Saraswat Appointed as Deputy Secy, GeM

2014 batch IRS officer Nikhil Saraswat has been appointed as Deputy Secretary within the Government e-Market Place (GeM) under the Department of Commerce. As per an official directive from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), his appointment falls under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS) for a tenure of four years from assuming office, or until further notice, whichever comes first.

He was nominated for Ccentral deputation by the Department of Revenue. The order instructs for his immediate release from current duties with directions to commence his new role in the Government e-Market Place under the Department of Commerce.
