Indian Information Service officer Tushar Arun Karmarkar has been chosen for the position of Deputy Secretary within the Department of Health Research. As per an official directive from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), he has been appointed under the Central Staffing Scheme for a duration of four years from assuming office, or until otherwise specified, whichever occurs earlier.
Mr. Karmarkar is a 2012-batch officer. He was recommended for central deputation by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.
