The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions under the leadership of Hon’ble Minister of State Dr. Jitendra Singh, Has been taking initiatives towards easing the life of pensioners. whether it is about adopting a new technology or taking feedback of work everything is being taken care of very diligently. Conducting Pensioner’s outreach program is also a part of it.
The third webinar of pensioners’ outreach program was conducted on Thursday for pensioners aged 75 years and above which was Chaired by Mr. V. Srinivas ,Secretary Pension and Pensioners’ welfare, along with registered pensioners. In this Q&A session discussion on various topics such as Family Pension and Its eligibility, Additional pension on achieving age related milestones, Issues pertaining to Commutation of pension and how a digital life Certificate can be issued by android phone was done. While Mr. Sanjiv Narayan Mathur, Joint Secretary Pension, informed about the role of IPPB along with DoPPW, Video KYC and door to door service to generate Life Certificate.
Mr. Srinivas also took feedback from Pensioners about various initiatives conducted by DoPPW and what more can be done. He also expressed his desire to conduct more such informative sessions in future.
