The Sub-divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Kahalgaon in Bhagalpur district, Reshu Krishna, recently posted a social media post in which his husband was dressed in a police uniform with an ‘IPS’ insignia on it. The social media post didn’t take much time to go viral due to which the state police headquarters ordered a probe into the matter.
Several pictures were posted on a social media platform and were deleted later on when the post went viral. In the photo, Reshu Krishna’s husband Roshan Krishna can be seen wearing a police uniform with an ‘IPS’ insignia fixed on his shoulder. In the first round of the inquiry, it was stated that Roshan Krishna is neither a police officer nor an IPS.
Bhagalpur City SP Swarn Prabhat while speaking to media said, “A further inquiry ordered by the police headquarters is going on and both the SDPO and her husband will be interrogated.”
Till now no FIR has been lodged against the couple as no one had compliant about him missing the uniform. Mr. Prabhat further told media that the SDPO, despite being a gazetted police officer, encouraged her husband’s act by posting his pictures on social media. “Such an act may attract disciplinary action against her.”
