Sand Mafia Tried to Mow Down Trainee IPS Officer

Trainee IPS officer Harishankar Yadav attacked by sand mafias. The mafia managed to escape, based on the CCTV footage from a nearby restaurant the police have registered a case.

In Chittorgarh district near Gangrar, sand mafia tried to mow down a trainee IPS officer Harishankar Yadav. Mr. Harishankar, who has been posted in Bhilwara, tries to intercept the vehicle which was carrying illegal sand and in an attempt to escape the sand mafias try to mow down the officer.

Harishankar got the information about the illegal sand being transported to Chittorgarh from Bhilwara and the officer chased down the vehicles that had reached Gangrar. The loaded trucks  which were parked near a hotel tried to escape with the vehicle on seeing the police squad. As per the officials those trucks were escorted by different SUVs and while the police team was chasing the vehicles, the escorting SUVs tried to heat and knocked down  the police vehicle and luckily the police personnel escaped and none was injured.

Police have registered a case file against Govind Gurjar, Raju Puri, Kanha Gurjar and 12 others accused of this illegal transportation of sand based on the CCTV footage from a nearby restaurant. SP Vikas Sharma of Bhilwara said that police personnel are trying to trying to arrest the accused and also said he will not compromise any of these activities and would take immediate action against the sand mafias.
