In a significant administrative move aimed at strengthening governance and improving departmental efficiency, the Tripura government has executed a major reshuffle involving IAS, TCS and Indian Forest Service officers. The General Administration Department has issued new transfer and posting orders, impacting multiple senior officers and reshaping district-level leadership. This restructuring is expected to streamline public service delivery and boost administrative coordination across departments.

Four IAS Officers Assigned New Strategic Responsibilities
As part of the reshuffle, IAS officer Mr. Chiranjiv Anand has been appointed as the Tax Commissioner in Agartala, shifting from his earlier role as SDM, Jampuijala. Similarly, Mr. Deepak Kumar, previously SDM of Kanchanpur, will now serve as the Director of Industries and Commerce, Agartala, while also holding the charge of Managing Director, TIDC.
In another key appointment, SDM Kamalpur Mr. Gagulvath Sarath Nayak has been designated as the CEO of Ayushman Bharat. He will additionally serve as Executive Secretary, THPS, and ABDM State Mission Director. Meanwhile, NHM Mission Director Mr. Saju Waheed A has been relieved of his additional responsibility as CEO, Ayushman Bharat, ensuring a more balanced distribution of senior-level duties.
Five TCS Officers Receive New District-Level Roles
The reshuffle also extends to Tripura Civil Service officers. TCS Grade-1 officer Mr. Ashish Vishwas has been appointed SDM of Kanchanpur. Mr. Swarup Kumar Paul, earlier DC of the SDM Office in Udaipur, is now the Additional SDM of Belonia.
Mr. Akinchan Sarkar has been relieved of his additional charge as Tax Commissioner, enabling more focused leadership in the department. Mr. Amitabh Chakma has taken over as SDM of Jampuijala, while Mr. Gideon Molsom steps in as the new SDM of Kamalpur and Executive Officer of Kamalpur NP.
Forest Department Sees Key Leadership Adjustments
The Indian Forest Service and Tripura Forest Service have also undergone aligned shifts. IFS officer Mr. Gautam Das, serving as DCF (Vigilance and Law), has been assigned the additional duty of Nodal Officer, Law. TFS officer Mr. Prasenjit Debbarma, who was attached as Director at NCE Gandhigram, has now been transferred and posted as Additional Director, NCE, along with the role of DDO, NCE Gandhigram.
These adjustments are part of the state government’s broader administrative reform strategy designed to strengthen institutional operations and improve sectoral coordination.
