1999 batch UPPPS officer Shashi Shekhar Singh has been elected as the new president of Uttar Pradesh Provincial Police Service (UPPPS) Association. He is presently serving as Additional Superintendent of Police in Unnao.
The 10-member executive body of the Provincial Police Service (PPS) Association was unanimously formed on Sunday, in which Mr. Singh was elected as its president.
The first meeting of the new executive committee will be convened on August 27 at the Police Officers’ Mess.
The association unanimously elected Purnendu Singh, Harendra Yadav and Niti Dwivedi as vice-presidents, while Sanjay Kumar was elected as general secretary.
Apart from this, Dharmesh Shahi, Anirudh Singh, Manish Sonkar and Imran have been given the responsibility of secretary and Vinay Chandra have been made treasurer.
