Dehradun: In a fresh round of administrative changes, the Uttarakhand government has assigned new responsibilities to two IAS officers and one Secretariat Service officer, ending their long stint in compulsory waiting. The transfers were formalized through order number 556 / XXX-1-2025, issued by the Personnel and Vigilance Section-01 on Wednesday.
Among the appointees is IAS Rohit Meena (2014 batch), who has been appointed Additional Secretary, Medical Health and Medical Education Department. Meena recently returned from a study leave abroad and was awaiting assignment since reporting back to the Personnel Department.

Similarly, IAS Narendra Singh Bhandari (2016 batch) has been appointed Additional Secretary, Planning Department. Bhandari, too, had been in compulsory waiting after returning to the state and was yet to be given an active posting until now.
In addition, Santosh Badoni, a Secretariat Service officer who was recently promoted to the rank of Additional Secretary, has been entrusted with the Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Department.
The appointments mark the end of a long administrative limbo for all three officers and are expected to add momentum to departmental functioning in their respective areas.
