The work allocation in Central Board of Direct Taxation (CBDT) has been done by the Finance Ministry. Chairman Nitin Gupta
1986 batch Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer and chairman of CBDT, Mr. Nitin Gupta has retained the charge of member (investigation), the most powerful assignment.
He was appointed chairman of CBDT, in June last year. He was serving as the Member (investigation) in the Board at that time too.
Mr. Gupta is scheduled to retire in September this year.
With the approval of the Competent Authority, the following officers shall hold the charge along with zonal charges mentioned against their name with immediate effect, until further orders:
