Bengaluru: Canara Bank organised a Financial Inclusion Saturation Camp at Kodigehalli Gram Panchayat in Doddaballapura Block on Monday as part of the nationwide PM JanSuraksha Saturation Campaign, running from July 1 to September 30, 2025. The camp drew participation from over 700 customers across nine neighbouring villages.
Empowering Rural Communities with Social Security Schemes
In her keynote address, RBI Regional Director Sonali Sen Gupta stressed the importance of completing Re-KYC formalities and enrolling in government-backed social security schemes. She also warned against rising cases of cyber fraud, urging participants to update KYC details and reactivate dormant accounts.
Canara Bank Highlights Flagship Financial Inclusion
Canara Bank MD & CEO K. Satyanarayana Raju highlighted the role of flagship schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), and Atal Pension Yojana (APY). He noted that these programmes have provided timely protection during emergencies at minimal annual premiums—₹436 under PMJJBY and ₹20 under PMSBY.
Raju also cautioned participants to stay alert against cybercrime and avoid becoming money mules in fraudulent transactions.

On-Ground Outreach and Beneficiary Support
The camp featured enrolment counters for PMJJBY and PMSBY, along with live Re-KYC facilities. Cheques were distributed to eight beneficiaries from Avathi, Doddaballapura, and Kodigehalli branches. Beneficiaries shared personal stories, underlining the crucial support these schemes provided during difficult times.
