The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) on Friday (09.08.2024) enacted major changes in its administrative structure by issuing posting orders to those 40 officers who have been recently promoted to Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (CCIT)/Director General of Income Tax (DGIT) grade but had not yet been assigned roles.
In the same order, 20 CCIT/DGIT grade officers shifted and were assigned new responsibilities while 22 CCIT/DGIT grade officers were assigned additional responsibilities.
