New Delhi: The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) on Tuesday issued orders appointing seven IRS officers to the prestigious grade of Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (CCIT). The appointments include both in-situ promotions and those for specific panel years.
The officers appointed for the panel year 2025 on an in-situ basis are:
- Vibha Bhalla
- Sunil Kumar
- Ranjan Kumar
- Ajay Kumar Atri
Meanwhile, for the panel year 2024, the following officers have been appointed on an in-situ basis:
- Ram Mohan Tiwari
- Yogesh Kumar Verma
- S Naiyer Ali Najmi
These appointments reflect the continued advancement of senior officers within the Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax), reinforcing the government’s commitment to strengthening the leadership of the country’s tax administration.
