CBI: Two Senior IPS officers’, Including IPS Vineet Vinayak’s, Extension Regularized

Two senior IPS officers have received official extensions and regularization of their deputation tenures within the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

The names of the officers are as follows:

  • 1995 batch IPS officer Vineet Vinayak of Sikkim cadre
  • 1998 batch IPS office Amit Kumar of Chhattisgarh cadre

These extensions align with the provisions set forth in the IPS Tenure Policy of 2010.

In particular, Vineet Vinayak’s service as Joint Director (CBI) has been officially regularized, spanning from September 10, 2021, through September 30, 2023, while Amit Kumar’s tenure as Joint Director (CBI) has been similarly regularized, encompassing the period from September 9, 2016, to September 30, 2023.
