The Department of Revenue announced significant changes in its leadership, issuing transfer and posting orders for several high-ranking officers, including Principal Chief Commissioners (PCC), Chief Commissioners (CC), and Director Generals of Customs.
The following officers have been transferred to new postings:
- Rajesh Pandey (IRS-C&IT: 1990) – From PCC, Mumbai Zone-II, Customs to DGGI (Headquarters), Delhi.
- Sandeep Prakash (IRS-C&IT: 1990) – Transferred to CGST, Hyderabad Zone.
- Samanjasa Das (IRS-C&IT: 1990) – Now posted to Customs, Delhi Zone.
- Charul Baranwal (IRS-C&IT: 1991) – Transferred from CC, DGGI (East) Kolkata to CC (AR) CESTAT, Delhi.
- Abhai Kumar Srivastav (IRS-C&IT: 1992) – From CC, Customs Ahmedabad Zone to DGEP, Delhi.
- Vimal Kumar Srivastava (IRS-C&IT: 1990) – Transferred to Mumbai Zone-II Customs.
- Pranesh Pathak (IRS-C&IT: 1990) – Now assigned to Customs Ahmedabad Zone.
In addition to the transfers, the Department has promoted three officers from the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes) 1995 batch. The officers promoted are:
- Ch. Venkat Reddy, IRS
- Ajazuddin, IRS
- Challenkhum Songate, IRS (granted proforma promotion)
Venkat Reddy and Ajazuddin will serve in Level 15 of the pay matrix, which corresponds to the Higher Administrative Grade (HAG), effective from the date they assume their new roles. Their promotions are based on the 2024 panel year.
Challenkhum Songate’s promotion will take effect from August 5, 2024.
