New Delhi: Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR) has appointed Rahul Agarwal as a Part-Time Government Director on its Board, following an official directive from the Ministry of Railways. The appointment, communicated through an order dated March 19, 2026, is effective immediately. Agarwal succeeds Prabhas Dansana, who previously held the position.

Background of the Appointment

Rahul Agarwal currently serves as Principal Executive Director (Traffic Transportation – Marketing) at the Railway Board, Ministry of Railways. His appointment to the CONCOR Board ensures continued government representation in the strategic functioning of the company.

As per the terms of the appointment, Agarwal will serve:

  • Until he holds his current position at the Railway Board, or
  • Until further orders are issued, whichever is earlier

Such appointments are common in public sector enterprises, aligning government policy direction with corporate governance.
