CEIL Signs Landmark Agreement with ONGC for Third Party Inspection Services Across Oil & Gas Projects

The agreement not only reaffirms CEIL’s position as a trusted inspection authority in the energy domain but also underscores the growing demand for independent certification in high-stakes infrastructure and energy projects.

New Delhi: In a significant development for India’s energy infrastructure, Certification Engineers International Ltd (CEIL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Engineers India Ltd (EIL), has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) to provide comprehensive Third Party Inspection and Certification Services for ONGC’s onshore and offshore projects.

The MoA was formally signed by Mr. R Narahari, Head of Offshore Works at ONGC, and Mr. Rajiv Ranjan, CEO of CEIL, during a ceremony attended by Mr. R.N. Satish Babu, Executive Director, ONGC, and Mrs. Jayati Ghosh, Director, CEIL, along with other senior officials from both organisations.

Strengthening Quality and Safety in India’s Energy Sector

Through this collaboration, CEIL will serve as ONGC’s “third eye,” delivering independent, high-value insights into engineering quality, safety protocols, and certification compliance across critical oil and gas projects.

“This MoA marks a strategic strengthening of our partnership with ONGC and reflects our shared commitment to engineering excellence and uncompromising quality standards in India’s vital oil and gas sector,” said CEIL CEO Rajiv Ranjan.
