BHOPAL: In a historic moment for Madhya Pradesh’s industrial journey, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav performed the Bhoomi Pujan of a Green Hydrogen Manufacturing Unit at Piparseva Industrial Area in Morena. The project, led by GH2 Solar Limited, is set to become a cornerstone of India’s clean energy transition and an engine of regional development.
“This hydrogen unit is not just a plant, it is the foundation of a new industrial revolution, a new energy revolution, and a new Madhya Pradesh,” said CM Yadav, addressing a large gathering of industrialists, public representatives, and citizens.
Morena’s Image Transforms: From Ravines to Renewable Energy Hub
Once known for its rugged ravines, Morena is now redefining its identity. The Chief Minister noted that Morena is fast becoming a hotspot for industry and innovation, shedding its agricultural-only image. “Today, the land of Chambal is being recognized for sustainability, profitability, and progress,” he said.
Morena’s locally famous Gajak has found global markets, and its Mitawali temple inspired the architecture of India’s old Parliament House – proof of the district’s rich cultural and commercial potential.

World-Class Tech in Hydrogen Manufacturing to Create 500+ Jobs
The Green Hydrogen project, built over seven acres, is supported by technical collaborations with leading companies from Korea and Britain. It will not only produce green hydrogen, a clean energy alternative, but will also feature battery energy storage facilities.
The project is expected to provide direct employment to 500 youth, with several hundred more indirect jobs to follow – making it a major job creator in the region.
220 New Industrial Units Allotted Land Since April 2024
The Gwalior-Chambal region is fast emerging as a centre of investment, green energy, tourism, and technology. From April 2024 to August 2025, land has been allotted to 220 industrial units, bringing in over ₹12,500 crore in investment and creating employment for more than 21,000 youth.
Major upcoming and ongoing investments include–
- Alexer Industries: ₹1,500 crore in Malanpur
- Gautam Solar Pvt. Ltd.: ₹4,000 crore for solar cell manufacturing
- Footwear and Accessories Cluster (Sitapur): ₹300 crore, 1,200 jobs expected
CM Yadav emphasized that the government is creating a network of industrial parks in the region to foster sustainable and inclusive growth.

India Emerging as Global Growth Engine Under PM Modi’s Leadership
Linking local growth to national ambition, CM Yadav praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for positioning India as a global leader. From the G20 Presidency to the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor and the UK free trade agreement, India is seen as a “guiding nation” on the world stage.
He credited national campaigns like Make in India, Startup India, Digital India, and Atmanirbhar Bharat for making India the fourth-largest economy, rapidly advancing toward third place.
Morena Leather Park, Tourism Boom, and Farmer-Centric Growth
The Regional Tourism Conclave held in Gwalior recently attracted investment proposals worth ₹3,500 crore. The leather park in Chambal is drawing investor interest, and the Shanichara Temple is being developed into a spiritual and tourism hub.
CM Yadav also promised upcoming events focused on agriculture-based industries and said efforts are underway to enhance milk production and branding of dairy products.
Assembly Speaker Shri Narendra Singh Tomar: A Historic Day for Morena
Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar, also present at the ceremony, called it a “historic day for Morena.” He applauded the state’s record-breaking industrial growth under Dr. Yadav’s leadership and pointed to growing investor confidence in the Chambal region.
Also in attendance were New & Renewable Energy Minister Rakesh Shukla, MP Shivmangal Singh Tomar, Green Hydrogen Unit architect Anurag Jain, and many other dignitaries.

Chief Minister Inaugurates Arch Gate at Shanichara Temple
Following the groundbreaking, CM Yadav visited the Shanichara Temple, a renowned spiritual site in Morena, where he inaugurated a newly constructed arch gate. After performing rituals and prayers, he expressed hope for the continued progress and well-being of Madhya Pradesh.
