The Chhattisgarh government has designated 33 IAS officers as in-charge secretaries for the state’s 33 districts, ensuring enhanced implementation of public welfare initiatives and development projects. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai mandated these appointments to monitor district-level activities effectively.
The in-charge secretaries will visit their assigned districts regularly and submit monthly reports to the Chief Secretary on their observations and progress.
Key Appointments:
- Ms. Renu G. Pillai (1991-batch IAS officer), Additional Chief Secretary, is assigned to Dhamtari district.
- Mr. Subrata Sahu (1992-batch IAS officer), Additional Chief Secretary, will oversee Durg.
- Ms. Richa Sharma (1994-batch IAS officer) takes charge of Raipur, while Mr. Manoj Kumar Pingua (1994-batch IAS officer) is appointed to Bilaspur.
- Ms. Niharika Barik (1997-batch IAS officer) , Principal Secretary, is tasked with supervising Mahasamund.
