Chhattisgarh Assigns New Responsibilities to 33 IAS Officers In Different Districts, ACS Renu Pillai Sent To Dhamtari

The Chhattisgarh government has designated 33 IAS officers as in-charge secretaries for the state’s 33 districts, ensuring enhanced implementation of public welfare initiatives and development projects. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai mandated these appointments to monitor district-level activities effectively.

The in-charge secretaries will visit their assigned districts regularly and submit monthly reports to the Chief Secretary on their observations and progress.

Key Appointments:

  • Ms. Renu G. Pillai (1991-batch IAS officer), Additional Chief Secretary, is assigned to Dhamtari district.
  • Mr. Subrata Sahu (1992-batch IAS officer), Additional Chief Secretary, will oversee Durg.
  • Ms. Richa Sharma (1994-batch IAS officer) takes charge of Raipur, while Mr. Manoj Kumar Pingua (1994-batch IAS officer) is appointed to Bilaspur.
  • Ms. Niharika Barik (1997-batch IAS officer) , Principal Secretary, is tasked with supervising Mahasamund.

Other Notable Assignments:

  • Mr. Sonmani Bora (1999-batch IAS officer), Principal Secretary, for Janjgir Champa.
  • Mr. Rohit Yadav (2002-batch IAS officer), Secretary, for Korba, and Dr. Kamalpreet Singh (2002-batch IAS officer), Secretary, for Bastar.
  • Mr. Siddharth Komal (2003-batch IAS officer), Secretary, will oversee Balodabazar-Bhatapara, while Mr. Prasanna R. is assigned to Kabirdham.
  • Ms. R. Shangita (2005-batch IAS officer) is appointed to Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, and Mr. Rajat Kumar (2005-batch IAS officer) to Raigarh.

Other assignments include Mr. Narendra Kumar Dugga (2008-batch IAS officer) for Sukma, Mr. S. Bharathidasan (2006-batch IAS officer) for Mungeli, and Mr. Saurabh Kumar (2009-batch IAS officer) for Dantewada, among others.

This reshuffle emphasizes the state’s commitment to fostering development and ensuring administrative accountability at the grassroots level.
