Raipur, Chhattisgarh: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai announced on Sunday the launch of the ‘Chhattisgarh Anjor Vision 2047’, a comprehensive roadmap aimed at transforming the state into a developed region by 2047, in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goal of making India a developed nation by the same year.

Vision Document Outlines Short, Medium, and Long-Term Goals

During the discussion on the vision document in the first day of the Winter Session of the Chhattisgarh Assembly, CM Sai highlighted that the document sets short-term goals until 2030, medium-term targets until 2035, and long-term objectives until 2047. The vision incorporates inputs from farmers, youth, women, entrepreneurs, and other sections of society, ensuring a participatory development strategy.

Focus on 13 Priority Sectors and 10 Development Missions

The Anjor Vision 2047 identifies 13 priority sectors including education, health, agriculture, and infrastructure. To achieve the outlined goals, the government plans to implement 10 dedicated missions that will drive sustainable and inclusive development across the state.

Opposition Boycotts Discussion; BJP MLA Calls for Reforms

The discussion on the vision document was conducted in the absence of the main opposition party, Congress, as their MLAs boycotted the session. Interestingly, senior BJP MLA Ajay Chandrakar critiqued his own government, highlighting gaps in various sectors and urging reforms.

CM Sai Highlights State Achievements

Addressing the Assembly, CM Sai called upon all legislators to actively contribute to building a developed Chhattisgarh. He noted that December 14 is historically significant as the day in 2000 when the first Chhattisgarh Assembly meeting was held at Rajkumar College, Jashpur Hall.

He also highlighted the government’s achievements over the past two years:

  • Over 10,000 youth employed in government jobs
  • Investment of ₹3.5 lakh crore in the energy sector
  • Initiatives for marginalized communities, women, and farmers
  • Rapid progress toward eradicating Naxalism, expected by March 2026

Additionally, initiatives like eco-tourism, Bastar Pandum festival, and the Bastar Olympics are giving the region a new identity and promoting cultural and economic growth.

Inclusive Development as the Core Focus

CM Sai emphasized that the Anjor Vision 2047 will guide Chhattisgarh’s development for decades to come, ensuring inclusive growth, job creation, improved infrastructure, and enhanced quality of life for all citizens.
