In a symbolic gesture merging governance with spiritual ethos, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, accompanied by his family, visited Jamdi Pateshwar Dham in the Dondi Lohara block of Balod district. There, he paid homage to the late saint Rajyogi Ramjanki Das Mahatyagi, reaffirming that divine guidance and moral leadership are pillars of Chhattisgarh’s development and societal harmony.
Saints’ Blessings, Strong Governance: CM Links Spirituality to Stability
fAddressing a gathering after the temple visit, CM Sai remarked that with the blessings of saints, Chhattisgarh is evolving into a prosperous state, and Naxalism is on the brink of extinction. He emphasized that the atmosphere of peace, growth and moral direction stems from the inspiration of spiritual leaders.
Recalling his long association with Saint Mahatyagi, the Chief Minister expressed a personal connection:
“I have walked in his company for many years, and I hope my children continue to receive his blessings and follow his path.”
During his address, CM Sai also rebutted opposition criticism concerning the recent visit of the Union Home Minister. He highlighted that the previous government made 36 promises, none of which were delivered, leaving critics with no substantive grievances. He dismissed the claim that the Home Minister had come to Bastar to inspect land for industrialist interests, calling it “baseless rhetoric.”
Kaushalya Dham Vision Raises Statewide and Global Interest
At the same event, Baba Balak Das, head priest of Pateshwar Dham, spoke about the rising significance of Kaushalya Dham in Chandkhuri, describing it as a temple gaining attention at state, national, and international levels. He noted ongoing efforts to uplift the Vaishnav community, and said the CM’s visit to pay respects to their guru strengthens their spiritual mission.
A Blend of Spiritual Legacy and Development Agenda
This pilgrimage underscores CM Sai’s approach to development: one that marries moral authority with administrative action. By highlighting saintly influence over governance, the state leadership is projecting an image of ethical statecraft—with the aim that spiritual and civic progress move in tandem.
