Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai reviewed the implementation of government schemes through a detailed video conferencing meeting with district collectors from Mahanadi Bhawan Ministry in Naya Raipur. The Chief Minister stressed accountability, transparency, and speedy redressal of pending cases, while also outlining the state’s preparations for celebrating its Silver Jubilee.
Push for Timely Settlement of Revenue Cases
Taking strong note of the rising number of pending revenue cases, Mr. Sai directed all collectors to put an end to the practice of repeated hearings, terming it as unnecessary harassment for citizens. He stated that prolonged legal delays not only waste time and money of the public but also erode faith in governance. Clear instructions were issued to resolve transfer cases, partition disputes, record corrections, land acquisitions, and diversion matters within the stipulated timelines.
Adoption of e-Court System for Transparency
Chief Secretary Mr. Subodh Kumar Singh instructed that all revenue cases must be mandatorily registered in the e-court system for better monitoring and accountability. He further directed patwaris at the tehsil level to conduct special drives for record correction to reduce bottlenecks and ensure efficiency in revenue administration.
Focus on Land Acquisition for Infrastructure Development
The Chief Minister emphasized that expediting land acquisition is crucial for the timely execution of National Highway and Bharatmala projects. Collectors were asked to prioritize compensation settlements in pending cases. Special instructions were given for Bastar division districts such as Narayanpur, Dantewada, Sukma, and Bijapur to fast-track land acquisition for critical road, rail, and mobile tower projects, which would aid both development and security initiatives in the region.
Strengthening Farmer Welfare and Digital Crop Survey
Mr. Sai also reviewed farmer-related schemes and instructed officials to ensure speedy registration of all eligible farmers. He stressed timely completion of the digital crop survey, highlighting its importance for accurate planning of agricultural policies and benefits distribution.
Silver Jubilee Celebrations with Public Participation
To mark the 25th anniversary of the formation of Chhattisgarh, the state government has launched the Silver Festival, starting from August 15 and continuing for 25 weeks. The Chief Minister directed collectors to make the celebration inclusive, with strong public participation. From September 17 to October 2, the Silver Festival will coincide with ‘Seva Pakhwada’, during which people-centric activities like health camps, blood donation drives, and revenue service camps will be organized across the state.
