Raipur: The Vishnu Deo Sai-led Chhattisgarh government on Tuesday issued a major administrative reshuffle, transferring and posting 11 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, including the replacement of six District Collectors across key districts of the state.
The reshuffle impacts important districts such as Sarguja, Bemetara, Korba, Dantewada, Sukma and Narayanpur, indicating a significant reorganization of district-level administration.
Major Reshuffle in District Administration
As part of the transfer orders, several sitting district collectors have been shifted to new responsibilities, while officers from other administrative roles have been brought in to lead key districts. The changes are seen as an effort to streamline governance and strengthen administrative efficiency across the state.
Key Collector-Level Changes
Bhoskar Vilas Sandeepan (IAS: 2011), Collector of Sarguja, has been transferred and posted as Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Chhattisgarh.
Ranbir Sharma (IAS: 2012), Collector of Bemetara, has been shifted and appointed Managing Director, National Health Mission.
Ajeet Basant (IAS: 2013), Collector of Korba, has been transferred and posted as the new Collector of Sarguja.
Kunal Dudawat (IAS: 2017), Collector of Dantewada, has been appointed Collector of Korba.
Devesh Kumar Dhruv (IAS: 2018), Collector of Sukma, has been transferred as Collector of Dantewada.
Pratishtha Mamgain (IAS: 2018), Collector of Narayanpur, has been posted as Collector of Bemetara.
New Appointments in Tribal and Key Districts
Namrata Jain (IAS: 2019), Additional Collector, Raipur, with additional charge of Centre In-Charge, Integrated Command & Control Centre, has been appointed Collector, Narayanpur.
Amit Kumar (IAS: 2019), Commissioner, Municipal Corporation of Bilaspur, has been transferred and posted as Collector, Sukma.
Municipal and Panchayat-Level Transfers
Prakash Kumar Sarway (IAS: 2019), Additional Collector, Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, has been appointed Commissioner, Municipal Corporation of Bilaspur.
Gajendra Singh Thakur (IAS: 2019), Additional Collector, Sukma, has been transferred as Chief Executive Officer, Zila Panchayat, Dhamtari.
Roma Srivastava (IAS: 2020), CEO, Zila Panchayat, Dhamtari, has been posted as Deputy Secretary, Mantralaya.

Officials indicated that the reshuffle aims to ensure effective governance, especially in tribal and Left Wing Extremism-affected districts, where experienced administrative leadership is crucial for development and security coordination.
