Raipur: The Chhattisgarh Pavilion at the international trade fair held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, has become a major center of attraction, drawing attention from buyers across India and abroad. The pavilion showcased the state’s rich cultural heritage, traditional arts, unique handicrafts, forest-based products, millet-based foods, and innovative micro-enterprises, reflecting Chhattisgarh’s commitment to ‘Atmanirbhar Chhattisgarh’ (Self-Reliant Chhattisgarh).
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai Visits Pavilion
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai toured the pavilion, observing various stalls and appreciating the quality, creativity, and innovation of the displayed products. He emphasized that Chhattisgarh is making a strong presence on global trade platforms, and its traditional arts, forest-based products, and the skills of local artisans are gaining recognition internationally.
“The growing demand for Chhattisgarhi products both in India and abroad is not only strengthening the local economy but also increasing the respect and income of our artisans. This is a significant step towards the vision of a self-reliant Chhattisgarh,” the CM said.

Showcasing Traditional Arts and Local Innovations
The pavilion featured a wide range of products, including:
- Kosa silk and other traditional textiles
- Dhokra craft and metal artistry
- Forest-based natural products
- Millet-based food items
- Innovative models from micro-enterprises
The CM also praised exhibits that highlighted the rich cultural heritage of Bastar, noting how the displays beautifully reflected the region’s artistic and tribal traditions.
Documentary Highlights Transforming Bastar
During the visit, Chief Minister Sai viewed the digital documentary ‘Badalta Bastar (Amcho Bastar)’, which showcased the vibrant transformation and development of the Bastar region. He praised the documentary for capturing the evolving livelihoods and innovations of tribal communities.
He also noted that the state government continues to strengthen schemes and institutional support to ensure tribal and rural products reach national and international markets, enhancing the livelihoods of artisans and local communities.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Industry Minister Lakhan Lal Devangan, Lok Sabha MP Brijmohan Agrawal, and MLA Kamlesh Jangde, along with other elected representatives and senior officials. Their presence highlighted the importance of promoting Chhattisgarh’s traditional products globally, creating opportunities for trade, tourism, and cultural exchange.
