Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the Fed Expo-2025 at the GIA Exhibition Centre in Govindpura, Bhopal, on Thursday. During the event, the CM toured the exhibition showcasing products from various industries and even hummed the popular song “Mera Joota Hai Japani” by legendary actor Raj Kapoor.
Long-Term Vision for Industrial Development
Addressing the gathering, CM Dr. Yadav highlighted the importance of long-term government commitment to attract industrial investment. “Governments are elected for five years, but industrialists and investors come to the state based on trust. Therefore, the state government must remain committed to industrial development for the next 25 years,” he said.
He emphasized that industries are the primary source of funds for development, and promoting trade and commerce is a top priority. Over the past four decades, the Madhya Pradesh Federation of Chambers of Commerce & Industry (MPFACCI) has played a crucial role in boosting the state’s business ecosystem.

Promoting Investment in Madhya Pradesh
Dr. Yadav underscored the government’s proactive steps to accelerate industrialization, noting that 5,000 acres of land have already been allocated for investors, presenting an open invitation to set up industries in the state. He added, “All promises made to industrialists are being fulfilled with full commitment. Industries are coming to our land like a magnet.”
The CM also announced a roadshow for investors in Hyderabad on 22 November, further highlighting the state’s efforts to promote industrial investment. This year is being celebrated as the “Year of Industry and Employment” in Madhya Pradesh.
Investment Proposals and Project Implementation
Through initiatives like GIS and the Industry Conclave, the state has already received investment proposals worth ₹8 lakh crore, of which projects worth ₹6 lakh crore have moved to the ground implementation stage. To accelerate the remaining ₹2 lakh crore investment, the Union Home Minister has been invited to the state, reflecting Madhya Pradesh’s commitment to fostering a conducive environment for industrial growth.
Emphasis on Industrial Growth for Development
CM Dr. Yadav concluded by stressing that industrial development is essential for generating employment and funding overall state development. The government aims to create an ecosystem where trust, transparency, and infrastructure attract investors and ensure sustainable industrial growth over the long term.
