Gorakhpur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath assured citizens seeking financial assistance for the treatment of serious illnesses that the government will provide full support, ensuring that no patient faces monetary hurdles in receiving medical care. He emphasized that people should not worry and should undergo treatment at advanced hospitals, with all necessary expenses arranged by the government.
Public Interaction at Gorakhnath Temple
The Chief Minister visited Gorakhnath Temple on Friday evening and stayed overnight. On Saturday morning, he conducted a Janata Darshan (public meeting) at the temple, meeting around 200 people in the Mahant Digvijayanath Smriti Bhavan auditorium. He listened to their grievances personally and assured prompt redressal.
During the meeting, CM Yogi instructed officials to expedite the process for providing financial assistance, ensuring that estimates for required treatment are prepared quickly and forwarded to the state administration. He stated that every eligible person would receive sufficient aid from the Chief Minister’s discretionary fund.

Instructions to Officials for Prompt and Sensitive Action
CM Yogi Adityanath directed officials to handle public grievances with seriousness, sensitivity, and efficiency, ensuring quick and satisfactory resolution. He stressed that no citizen should feel harassed or anxious. Officials were also instructed to adopt a sensitive approach towards each affected individual and ensure their problems are resolved effectively.
He further instructed that:
- Strict legal action should be taken against any attempts of land grabbing or harassment.
- In family disputes, both parties should be encouraged to resolve issues through dialogue.
- Individuals eligible for government welfare schemes but deprived of benefits should immediately receive them.
CM’s Personal Assurance for Patients
As in previous Janata Darshan events, many attendees, especially women, approached the Chief Minister seeking financial help for the treatment of themselves or their family members. In one instance, a young girl requested assistance for her mother’s treatment. CM Yogi responded warmly, saying:
“Do not worry, get the treatment done, the money will be arranged.”
He extended the same assurance to all others, emphasizing that the government will not let financial constraints become a barrier for anyone in need of medical care, and sufficient assistance will be provided from the Chief Minister’s discretionary fund.
