New Delhi: The Central Secretariat Service (CSS) Forum, the official representative body of officers serving in various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union Cabinet for approving the Terms of Reference (ToR) of the 8th Central Pay Commission (8th CPC).
CSS Forum’s Public Statement
On the social media platform X, the CSS Forum posted:
“Our heartfelt gratitude to the Honorable Prime Minister @narendramodi and the Cabinet for approving the Terms of Reference of the 8th Central Pay Commission (8th CPC).”
The forum highlighted that this decision would instill enthusiasm and a sense of responsibility among government employees, strengthening their collective commitment to achieving a developed India by 2047.
Consistent Demand for Timely Pay Commission Formation
The CSS Forum has consistently advocated for the early constitution of the 8th Central Pay Commission, submitting multiple representations to ensure a timely review of:
- Pay structure
- Service conditions
- Pensionary benefits of Central Government employees
The forum emphasized that today’s approval demonstrates the government’s sensitive and responsive approach toward employee welfare.
Expectations from the 8th Pay Commission
The CSS Forum stated that it firmly believes the recommendations of the 8th CPC will provide:
- A fair, transparent, and balanced pay structure
- Enhanced motivation, morale, and productivity among employees
Additionally, the forum hopes that the benefits of the 8th Pay Commission will be implemented effective January 1, 2026, for all Central Government employees.
Letter to the Prime Minister
A few days ago, the CSS Forum wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging the early formation and commencement of the 8th CPC. In its communication, the forum stressed that timely constitution would:
- Strengthen the morale, confidence, and motivation of government employees nationwide
- Provide new direction and momentum to the mission of a “Duty-driven Developed India 2047”
The forum reaffirmed its commitment to constructively work for the welfare and legitimate interests of all Central Government employees.
