D Thara’s Tenure as Additional Secretary in MoHUA Extended Until 2026

The ACC has sanctioned the continuation of the temporary upgradation of the Director-level post held by Ms. Thara to that of Additional Secretary for one more year, up to December 5, 2025.

The tenure of D. Thara, a 1995 batch IAS officer of the Gujarat cadre, as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), has been extended. According to an announcement from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on November 25, 2024, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved extending her central deputation beyond December 5, 2024, until July 28, 2026, or until further notice, whichever comes earlier.

Additionally, the ACC has sanctioned the continuation of the temporary upgradation of the Director-level post held by Ms. Thara to that of Additional Secretary for one more year, up to December 5, 2025. This decision ensures continuity in her current responsibilities within the ministry.
