Debasweta Banik has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). An IAS officer of 2013 batch and Himachal Pradesh cadre, Ms. Banik tenure in DoPT will be of four years. The competent authority has approved the appointment of Ms. Banik to the post under the central staffing scheme for a period of four years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, said an order issued by DoPT on Monday.
