As per the order issued by the Commissioner, the use of para-gliders, para-motors, hang-gliders, UAVs, UAS, microlight aircraft, remotely piloted aircraft, hot air balloons, and other small powered flying devices will be strictly prohibited from August 2 to August 16, 2025.
Security Measure to Avert Potential Threats
The Delhi Police clarified that the order is being enforced purely on security grounds. With rising concerns over aerial threats and the misuse of unmanned or lightweight flying objects, this move aims to safeguard key installations, sensitive events, and public spaces in the capital during the specified period.
Strict Enforcement and Public Appeal
The police have warned that stringent action will be taken against anyone found violating the order. The administration has also urged citizens and enthusiasts to strictly comply with the temporary restrictions to avoid legal consequences and contribute to public safety.
This step marks the first major security directive under Mr. Singh’s leadership and underlines his proactive stance in dealing with potential threats in the capital.
