The Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare is actively participating in the Swachhata Hi Seva, 2024 campaign, which runs from September 17 to October 2. This year’s theme, “Swabhav Swachhata – Sanskaar Swachhata,” underscores the importance of cleanliness.
Dr. Devesh Chaturvedi, Secretary of the Department, led the initiative by inspecting the Krishi Bhawan and issuing instructions for cleanliness. He and his team extended their efforts beyond the building, clearing litter from pavements and engaging with street vendors, advising them on the importance of using dustbins for waste disposal.
As part of the “Swachhata Ki Bhagidari” theme, a ‘Human Chain’ was formed at Gate No. 2 of Krishi Bhawan, accompanied by a walkathon around the premises. The day culminated in a cleanliness drive outside the boundary walls of Krishi Bhawan, showcasing the department’s commitment to promoting hygiene and sanitation across the country.
