New Delhi: Punjab National Bank (PNB) has achieved a major digital milestone by becoming the first public sector bank in India to migrate its corporate website to the secure ‘.bank.in’ domain. The new website can now be accessed at https://pnb.bank.in
Aligned with RBI and IDRBT Guidelines
The migration has been carried out in line with the Reserve Bank of India’s directives and under the guidance of the Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT), the exclusive registrar for the ‘.bank.in’ domain. This move underscores PNB’s commitment to compliance with regulatory standards in strengthening digital banking security.
Strengthening Cybersecurity and Customer Confidence
With this transition, PNB aims to provide stronger safeguards against fraud and enhance customer trust in online transactions. The ‘.bank.in’ domain is reserved exclusively for banks, offering advanced security protocols designed to prevent phishing attacks, reinforce cybersecurity frameworks, and build public confidence in digital financial services.
A Landmark in Digital Transformation
PNB stated that the migration reflects its proactive approach towards digital innovation and secure banking. As the first PSU bank to complete this transition, PNB has set a benchmark for other banks to follow in adopting secure domain protocols for the benefit of millions of customers.
