District Superintendent of Police, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Telangana, IPS Rohit Raju held a crucial meeting today with traders and contractors operating in the Maoist-affected areas along the Telangana-Chhattisgarh border. The meeting took place in the conference hall of the SP office, focusing on the challenges faced by Tunica traders due to Maoist activities.

SP Raju inquired about the specific problems encountered by the traders and emphasized the importance of protecting the tribal communities that rely on tunica collection for their livelihoods. He advised traders to exercise caution and ensure that their activities do not adversely affect the tribal population in these sensitive areas.

During the meeting, SP Raju stressed the need for traders to be vigilant and report any information regarding the banned CPI-Maoists to the police immediately. He issued a stern warning that strict legal action would be taken against those found supporting the banned Maoist group, either directly or indirectly.

He reiterated the commitment of the district police department to the welfare of the tribal people, ensuring that their safety and livelihoods are not compromised. The SP assured that the police are dedicated to maintaining peace and order in the region while safeguarding the interests of the local communities.

The meeting concluded with a renewed call for cooperation between the police and traders to combat the influence of Maoists and to foster a secure environment for all residents in the affected areas.
