IAS officer Dr. Abhijeet Chaudhari has been appointed as the Municipal Commissioner of Nagpur. Known for his extensive experience in administration, Dr. Chaudhari has been given this responsibility in place of Radhakrishnan B, who has taken up a job in Harvard University.
Besides NMC, Dr. Chaudhari will also work as CEO, Smart City Special Purpose Vehicle – Nagpur Smart & Sustainable City Development Corporation LTD (NSSCDCL). His appointment is believed to accelerate the ongoing development work in the city. A 2011-batch IAS officer, Dr. Chaudhari had also cleared UPSC CSE in 2010 and got IPS with Karnataka cadre.
