Mumbai: In a landmark move, Dr. Arti Singh, an IPS officer from the 2006 batch, has been appointed as the first-ever Joint Commissioner (Intelligence) by the Mumbai Police. The newly created post marks a significant step in strengthening the city’s intelligence and internal security framework.
About Dr. Arti Singh
Dr. Singh, who was serving as Inspector General (Administration) at the Maharashtra Police Headquarters, brings a distinguished track record to her new role. She holds an MBBS degree from Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and has earned widespread recognition for her service in various challenging assignments.
She previously led the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted to probe the Badlapur incident and also served as the Commissioner of Amravati.
