IAS, IPS, and several Indian Forest Service personnel from the former Jammu & Kashmir cadre who are currently stationed in the capital participated in a luncheon discussion today with Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions.

Dr. Jitendra Singh stated during the conversation that Jammu and Kashmir is given top priority by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, hence it is the additional duty of All India Service officers to work to make it one of the best-governed States/UTs in the nation.

In order to encourage IAS and other All India Service Officers as well as officers of the Central Services to get posted in J&K, the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) deputation regulations have been relaxed, according to Dr. Jitendra Singh.

He stated that 22 officers from various services and cadres had been appointed at various levels in Jammu and Kashmir as a result of this waiver.

By collaborating with the UT of J&K, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the UPSC, Dr. Jitendra Singh claimed that DoPT has significantly contributed to the smooth induction of Jammu & Kashmir Administrative Services Officers into the IAS.

As a result, after a lengthy 12-year hiatus, 16 JKAS officers have recently been inducted into the coveted IAS service, and another 8 similar openings will be filled shortly.

Senior IAS officials, including Dr. Mandeep Kumar Bhandari, Niraj Kumar ARC, JK House, Pradip Kumar Tripathi, Secretary (Coordination) in the Cabinet Secretariat, Sundeep Kumar Nayak, Director General, National Productivity Council (NPC), Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade, Shantmanu, Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, Joint Secretary DoPT, and others, exchanged ideas with Dr. Jitendra Singh

They were joined during the conversation by IPS personnel assigned to important agencies including the CBI, NIA, BSF, ITBP, CRPF, and SSB. S.M. Sahai, Joint Secretary; Lalatendu Mohanti, DG, BSF Academy; Pankaj Saxena, Joint Secretary; Abdul Ghani Mir, IG, ITBP; Rajesh Kumar, ADGP, CRPF; T. Namgyal Kalon, IG, SSB; Viplav Kumar Choudhry, DIG, NIA; Vidhi Kumar Birdi, DIG, NIA; Shri Amit Kumar, DIG

Biswajit Kumar Singh, Dr. Rajeev Kumar Tiwari, Mrs. Roop Avtar Kaur, Preet Pal Singh, Naveen Kumar Shah, Praveen Kumar Raghaw, and Mohammad Sajid Sultan were among the Indian Forest officers who participated in the discussions.
