New Delhi: The Defence Materials and Stores Research and Development Establishment (DMSRDE), a Kanpur-based laboratory of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Test House (NTH) to enhance collaboration in the fields of research, testing and training.
Focus on Research, Testing and Training
The MoU aims to strengthen institutional cooperation through collaborative research and testing activities. Both organisations will share laboratory and instrumentation facilities and extend mutual support in testing and evaluation services, especially where specialised facilities are not available in-house.
Knowledge Sharing and Skill Development
A key objective of the agreement is to promote knowledge sharing and skill development among scientific and technical personnel. The collaboration will support capacity building through seminars, workshops and structured training programmes, fostering the exchange of scientific and technical expertise.

Areas of Mutual and National Importance

About National Test House
Established in 1912, the National Test House functions under the Department of Consumer Affairs. It provides testing, inspection and quality assurance services for a wide range of industrial and consumer products in line with national and international standards. NTH is NABL-accredited, BIS-recognised, and operates through a network of regional laboratories across India.
About DMSRDE
DMSRDE is a key DRDO laboratory engaged in the research and development of non-metallic materials essential for defence applications. Its areas of work include polymers, composites, elastomers, ceramics, technical textiles, fuels, lubricants and other specialised materials.

The MoU underscores the intent of both institutions to leverage each other’s strengths through structured collaboration.
