Visakhapatnam: The Dredging Corporation of India (DCI) Ltd, a government-owned enterprise, announced key changes in its board composition as two Independent Directors concluded their appointed three-year tenures on 26 May 2025. Rajat Sachar and Shri Vinod Kumar Pipersenia have stepped down from their roles, marking the end of their service and committee memberships.
End of Board and Committee Memberships
Along with stepping down as Independent Directors, both Shri Sachar and Shri Pipersenia have also relinquished their membership of all Board Committees, effective the same date, as per the company’s official filings.
Profiles of the Outgoing Directors
Rajat Sachar
An accomplished economist, Sachar holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the prestigious Delhi School of Economics, completed in 1984. He joined the Indian Economic Services in 1985, bringing over three decades of experience in economic analysis and policy-making.
Vinod Kumar Pipersenia
Pipersenia is a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the 1980 batch of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre. He retired as the Chief Secretary of Assam and has served in several key positions in both the Government of Assam and the Government of India, contributing significantly to administrative governance.
