Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the Drone Technology Workshop and Expo-2025 at the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology. Speaking on the occasion, he emphasized the transformative role of drones across multiple sectors, stating, “From Operation Sindoor to farming, the power of drones is visible in every field today.”
Dr. Yadav highlighted the state government’s efforts to modernize Madhya Pradesh through science and technology and announced a new state drone policy to ensure that the state keeps pace with global technological advancements.

The Chief Minister underlined the impact of drones on agriculture, noting that they simplify tasks such as pesticide spraying, making farming more efficient. He also referenced Operation Sindoor, noting that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance, drones have played a critical role in national security.
Dr. Yadav added that drones have become an integral part of modern life, even at weddings, and highlighted ongoing innovations like voice command-controlled drones being developed by Indian scientists.
Drone Tech Workshop Expo-2025: Focus on Students and Skill Development
Dr. Anil Kothari, Director General of the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology Education, said that the Expo has been organized to mark the state’s 70th Foundation Day. Over 4,000 students from across Madhya Pradesh have registered for training in drone technology.
Experts at the event will provide guidance on self-employment opportunities and technological skills, reinforcing the role of innovation in state development.

Kailash Rao, Director of the School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal, highlighted the role of drones in infrastructure development, noting their assistance in mapping historical sites such as Ujjain.
He described the workshop as a platform that would foster a scientific mindset among participants.
Additional Chief Secretary for Science and Technical Education, Sanjay Dubey, praised Chief Minister Dr. Yadav’s focus on science and technology, stating that the department has been closely aligned with the CM’s vision. He emphasized that drone technology has simplified complex tasks, accelerated projects, and is being deployed extensively across sectors, with ongoing research driving further innovation.
