New Delhi: Engineers India Limited (EIL), a leading public sector engineering and consultancy company, is set for a top-level leadership change as Chairperson & Managing Director (CMD) Vartika Shukla prepares to retire on February 28, 2026, concluding her impactful five-year tenure.
Vartika Shukla’s Tenure and Achievements
Ms. Shukla took charge as CMD on September 1, 2021, and during her tenure, she has steered EIL through significant growth and expansion, both domestically and internationally. The Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Mr. Atul Gupta, currently serving as Director (Commercial) at EIL, as the next CMD. His appointment is subject to approval by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
Mr. Gupta is expected to continue EIL’s growth trajectory, focusing on domestic and international project expansion, innovation, and strengthening the company’s operational and strategic capabilities.
