The investigation intensified after his location was traced to Lucknow, prompting a specialized police team to be dispatched to the city for his arrest.

Fake IAS Officer’s Modus Operandi

Gaurav Kumar, who claims to be a 2022-batch IAS officer, reportedly cheated several individuals by offering high-ranking government jobs and lucrative contracts. His fraudulent activities span several months, during which he allegedly extorted crores of rupees from unsuspecting victims. According to police sources, he has deceived numerous people into giving him large sums of money under the pretext of providing employment and contracts.

When police traced the number, they found that he was actively operating from Lucknow.

Cyber Cell and Crime Branch Trace Location to Lucknow

A special team has already been sent to Lucknow to apprehend him.

Police Take Immediate Action

Authorities have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and that the Lucknow police are coordinating with Gorakhpur officers for a swift arrest. Senior officials stated that the operation aims to prevent further fraud and protect potential victims from falling prey to Gaurav Kumar’s schemes.
