Six months into Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s tenure, five IAS officers remain without postings, reportedly due to their perceived alignment with the previous YSRCP government. These include Yerra Srilakshmi, the state’s second-most senior IAS officer, and Mutyalaraju Revu, a UPSC topper and former secretary to Jagan Mohan Reddy. Others include D. Muralidhar Reddy, K. Madhavi Latha, and K. Neelakanta Reddy.
Despite no active probes against them, they remain attached to the general administration department without roles, receiving salaries but lacking facilities. In contrast, officers repatriated from Telangana have been swiftly assigned postings. The sidelined officers express dismay, citing inconsistencies in the government’s approach, and hope for a reassessment of their status.
