Gandhinagar: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel conducted an on-site visit to the under-construction Khavda Renewable Energy Park, touted to be the world’s largest hybrid renewable energy project, located in the arid Rann of Kutch region. The visit underscored the state’s commitment to accelerating India’s transition to clean energy under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Chief Minister held a detailed review meeting with key stakeholders from both public and private sector companies involved in the project. He also inspected real-time solar and wind energy operations at the Central Control Room, commending the rapid progress and urging continued momentum toward the 2028 completion target.
From Barren Rann to Green Power Giant
Speaking during the visit, Bhupendra Patel highlighted Gujarat’s pivotal role in India’s green energy revolution.
“Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gujarat has effectively transformed the barren land of the Rann into a hub for green energy production,” the Chief Minister remarked.
Laid by the Prime Minister in December 2020, the foundation of the Khavda Renewable Energy (RE) Park marked a significant leap toward achieving a Viksit Gujarat through sustainable and environment-friendly development.
